K-Sport Performance Brake Systems, uncompromising racing technology with
official approval and homologation for road service!

K-Sport Performance Brake Systems are more than just “big brakes.”  They offer considerable benefits over standard-issue brake components.  When braking, kinetic energy is reduced through friction and converted into heat. This heat must be absorbed by the brake discs and released as quickly as possible.

To deal with this problem, K-Sport brake systems use larger brake discs.  With a diameter of 330 or 356mm and a thickness of 32mm, our brake discs provide enough space for cold air ducts on the inside of the disc.  This creates more surface area to quickly dissipate absorbed warm air.  Drilled brake discs are widely available, but some of these are susceptible to cracking.  We therefore fit slotted brake discs.  The grooves on the discs clean the pad surface and can absorb dirt, water and any gas that has accumulated.  As a result, all of these measures achieve a fade-free deceleration even when the brake system is under heavy stress.

The brake disc is designed in two
parts. The cast steel friction ring
is screwed with a CNC-milled
brake disc pot.  The brake disc
pot is CNC-milled from the
highest-strength A1 6061
airplane aluminum and finished
on its surface with a hard coating
to protect against corrosion.
A benefit of this design is its low
weight.  Through the use of
lightweight materials in this
respect, the unsprung, rotating
weights can be reduced, which is
good for the overall handling of
the car.

As a rule, production model brake systems use full floating brake calipers.  These cast iron brake calipers have only one large brake piston on the inside of the caliper.  While they are cheap to assemble, they are also extremely heavy and malleable.  All of these problems must be avoided in sport brake systems.

K-Sport brake systems are equipped with multiple pistons that are tightly screwed and made from light A1 6061 aluminum.  They are exceedingly firm, which ensures a clearly defined pressure point on the brake pedal.  Surfaces elaborately finished with glossy Eloxal provide an impressive appearance and improve the dissipation of warmth.  The enormous weight advantage over the production model calipers reduces unsprung masses which benefits the operation of the wheel suspension, whereby handling performance is improved.  The use of multiple brake pistons on either side of the caliper makes it possible to make it a fixed caliper.  With multiple brake pistons, each individual brake piston can have smaller dimensions, whereby the caliper becomes smaller and fits better under the wheel rim.  K-Sport brake calibers are equipped with so-called “differential bore,” differently-sized, brake pistons.  These measures ensure an evenly distributed wear pattern on the brake pad.

  All brake systems are delivered
complete with Steelflex brake
hoses.  They ensure higher
brake pressure, less pedal
travel, better brake
proportioning and are optimally
protected against outside
elements such as gravel damage.

Front axle brake systems are equipped with 8-piston brake calipers, brake systems for the back axle with 6-piston calipers.  In this way a prefect brake balance is achieved.  Both systems are available with 330 or 356mm discs.  For the 330mm brake systems, aluminum rims of at least 17 inches must be assembled, while a 356mm system fits under rims with an 18 inch diameter or larger.
With prices beginning at €1,690.00 (330mm systems) and €2,190.00 (356mm systems) K-Sport Performance Brake Systems offer a cost/performance ratio that cannot be matched by any other manufacturer.
